Have you looked at ICETOOL's COUNT operator? Multiple instances can be coded in the same step. Does that get you what you want?

You are new to the forum and presumbly to mainframes so get to know that JCL is a specific 'language' for telling the operating system what programs you want to run and what resources those programs require. Utilities, and other programs, have control 'cards' to control their behavour and it is control 'cards' that you are asking for.
