Hi Anuj,
After completion of the job, the current version will always point to the one successfully created and it will be version '0' and thats why in the above job you have mentioned as ''You'll have HLQ.FIRST.GDG..G0001V00"..... am I right in telling that ???

GDG interview question

Hi All, I have 2 questions on GDG QUES1 : A Job has 3 steps 1) Step01 creating New GDG file(+), 2) Step02 Input from step01 3) Step03 Input from Step02 When we run this job, it gets an abend in step02, so when we restart the job what will be the version of file. ??? Hi All, I have been questioned as , If we are processing through millions of records and we get a SOC7 abend, so how do you find out where excatly its abended and how do you resolve this ?? Answer : When we run the program and it abends with SOC7, we have to take the last 4 bytes in compiler listing...

In our project, we have a table, which is having too many index and I think having too many index will affect performance.

Sorry for posting the question with very less information.

actually I have been asked for DB2 check utility in an interview, But in my present organisation, I dont have possibility to use this utility in DB2.

I answered as this utility checks for data and index consistencies.

Hi All,

Interview question in Attra, How do you check the syntax of JCL without submitting the job.

Ans : TYPERUN = SCAN

Please clarify.
