If it is only for 1 year, it wont show, much difference to your profile.
As per my experience, you can learn things in support in 6 months, after that
very few learning will be there.

Finally, my suggestion is , stay in support for 1 year and come back to development.

INTRDR in JCL

Bart,

I didnot heard about looping in JCL.
You may need to use JCL INTRDR for this purpose. This will submit another job, or the same job again.

whatever certification you have.. those certifications will be helpful to take you upto
companies test/interview panel. Yes, brainbench has some importance. it will be useful to have.

You may better opt for IBM certifications like DB2 certification etc...
