Bespoke COBOL object code debugger

Post by alhorlock » Sun Nov 19, 2006 4:23 pm

I am interested in writing my own COBOL object code debugger. Does anyone know anything about the architecture of such products? Or know anything about how one might start such a project?
I have 20+ years REXX, COBOL and Assembler experience.

I notice that I've had no suggestions on this - but have had nearly thirty 'look-at's. Since posting this I think that I have worked out how it can be done. Would any of the nearly 20 spectators be interested in this project - from an open-source perspective for instance; or from any perspective for that matter? Looking forward to hearing from anybody.
