errors on not 'thrown' on the mainframe.
but terminology does not seem to be the only skill missing since porting your services to a real computer.

this apparently is not an interview question.

what is the error?

knowing that, and a brief description of your program(s) flow will help us
to help you.

not what you meant.

What sort of "table" are you talking about? DB2? Cobol? Something else?

Please note: the starting post in this thread is more than 3 years old; so your question might not be answered, William... :)

johnieurs - why don't you start a new thread with something useful for us to help you, as Dick also indicates.
Regards,
Anuj

This topic split from

I would have included this link at the top of this topic, but i'm not able to edit in this part of the Forum

johnieurs,
from what you posted, i guessed you had a COBOL question. if this is not correct, let us know and your topic will be moved.

when you have a question, you should start a new topic and not piggy-back onto some years-old dormant topic. especially as the one you used was an interview question rather than an actual issue.

you need to post what you were trying to do (show the problem bits of code) and what happened (syntax error(s), abend, diagnostic message(s)).
Have a good one
