VSAM- KSDS FILE - WRITE STATEMENT NOT WORKING

Post by meetraju2002 » Sun Nov 08, 2015 5:00 pm

Hi,

I have declared a VSAM file as KSDS and accessing dynamically and organization is indexed.

I am writing the file with statement ' WRITE XX-RECORD' and checking for File-status.

The file staus says it as zero but the record is not getting written in the VSAM file. The job completes with zero return code.

Could any one please suggest me what could be the problem.

Thanks and Regards,
Rajkumar

From the information you have provided, no, it would be impossible to say.

Need to see some code. SELECT, FD, file-status field, and the code relating to the WRITE. Possibly a LISTCAT.

In the Code tags.
