accepting / intercepting console input

Post by khcon » Thu Dec 28, 2006 8:08 pm

Hi,
using Xpediter/TSO I sometimes stumble over the PL/1 REPLY statement which, when executed in Xpediter, would sit there forever waiting for input on the master console.

What can I do to re-direct this request to my console so that I would see the DISPLAY messages and could respond as requested?

Thanks,
KH

i dont know the PL/I. If i understand your question properly, this might be the answer...

skipping the the particular statement, will allow you execute other statements. ( Use S infront of the line )

Hi,

thanks for the reply.

This isn't PL/I related at all. It's about the response requests that go to the main operator console. I do know the 'S' line command but it won't help here. The problem is that I have a load with some 200+ objects and many may generate those operator messages. Since I can't compile everything for Xpediter (I would run out of memory debugging that load; among others) I am hoping to find an alternative that would allow me to capture / intercept these request to the operator.
