Hi,

Xpediter use DDIO file to store information about load modules and sources.

At least one DDIO file is required for source level debugging.

In a debug session, XPEDITER references the stored information in the DDIO file that was generated by the Language Processor (LP) during compile time. Without this information XPEDITER can not display a program at the source level although sourceless debugging is also available.

Anuj

Hi again,

The Compuware language processor is a set of programs that capture information about a compiler listing and store it in a source listing file, also known as a DDIO file.

You mihgt like to add these to Glossary :

1. DDIO. A Compuware file access method.

2. DDIO file. A generic name for an Abend-AID or CICS Abend-AID report file, or an XPEDITER source listing file.

1. Suggest you get in touch with someone at your shop. These processes are different at differnt shops. As far as I know, DDIO, should be created by your XPEDITER admin and not by an end user.

2. This is an old thread, when you have a new question on some old thread, it's better to start a new thread with link to the thread you searched for. That way, one would be looking for your queries instead of getting in to the previous year details.
Regards,
Anuj
