We have a VB FILE that we are trying to process via an EZT program on the UNIX.

The JOB INPUT statement is throwing an error EZIOE004 which is a logical IO error. The file is declared as follows:

FILE FILEONE VB (101 0)

We have tried with and without blocksize parameter but we get the same error.

Could you please advise if VB files can be processed in EZT on UNIX? And if yes, what could be the reason behind this error?

This is a Mainframe forum. What Unix are you running on? Is the "VB" file a Unix file, or a z/OS file?

Thank you for the response. The VB file is created in UNIX. Since we were not sure whether the issue lies with Easytrieve on UNIX or some generic syntax error or other such issues, posted in this forum.

Well, are you really sure that a Unix file can be a "VB" in a way that could be recognised by Easytrieve? If so, it must be in your documentation. If not, how you'd do it instead... must be in your documentation.
