Uday,

Yeah there are openings but it depends on how well we are equipped with the
skill sets , The kind of domains and clients we have worked with. And the years
of EXP we have.

All projects in Mainframes are Legacy systems so there is always at least scope
for few openings for Maintenance part of it.

Most importantly it depends on what kind of VISA you are in with ....

Well if you are coming on H1 visa normally the consultant you are bound with
will place you at some clients location. But if you are a Green Card holder then
you have more scope.

Definitely once an Individual comes to US he needs to have lots of patience till
he gets the first break.

Like in India we have job searching sites like Monster and etc...search DICE.COM
where you can get the info reg the placements and what kind of exp is required for U.S.

Hi,

Thanks alot for your reply and motivation.I have 4+ years of experience in mainframes with string knowlwdge in Insurance and Finanace domains.Also i am having valid H1B till 2009.

So can you please let me know how to grab good mainframes openings here in US and let me know good website Like Dice....etc.
