Post by arrbee » Thu Mar 09, 2006 8:13 pm

Hi,

When the attachments will be enabled in this forum? We can't attach any files now.

Thanks.

Hi,

'am not sure if this been enabled. However won't encourage it much - as at many of the sites download/open attachment from foreign sites is not allowed and this limits the responses. Apart from that, most of the posters does not seem to attach the to-the-point-info and just adds the clutter to sites'-traffic.

Hi,

It would be better if the moderator at least can attach the files, so that beginners like me will get detailed information from their references.

Thanks.

Sorry, but i must disagree. . .

I believe a link to a file is better than embedding it within some forum/topic. Most of these are updated and if the link is given, the update(s) are available. Otherwise, the embedded copy just becomes outdated.

If one really wants their own copy, they can save it to their own system from the link. . .

I agree with DikDude concerning informative attachments.

as far as attachments used to provide info about a problem,
my experience is that people missuse this,
and attach miles of garbage because they don't know where the info in their system is.

better to use a few posts to educate members where to find info that will help them debug their problem.

Completely agree! I was remiss mentioning only one side of "attaching" :|
