Searching a PDS using SORT

Post by arrbee » Tue Sep 23, 2008 5:35 pm

Hi,

I know that we can use "SS" feature of SORT to search a PS file. How to use this function to search a PDS? I tried to apply it on a PDS but could succeed only if member names are mentioned.........not useful.....huh.... :(

Is it possible to mention Not Equal To condition along with SS on a PDS? If not, any alternatives please  :?

Please help me out.

Thanks.

DFSORT cannot search an entire PDS just by giving the PDS name - it can only operate on one member of a PDS at a time via dsn=pds(member).

You can use NE with SS, but only with one member of a PDS at a time.
