foreign key

Hai,
Iam a beginner.Can anybody explain me about the foreign key i.e.
when we use references what is on delete set null
and what is on delete restrict
thanks in advance .

actually , other than primary key u should select another key which is the primary key for next table. that other key of first table is referred as foreign key
