Hi ,
I have a query on how to achieve the below through SORT -
1. SUM OF VALUES FOR RECORDS (IN A FILE) WHERE POS 10='A'.
2. COMPARE THE ABOVE TOTAL VALUE TO THE FILE TRAILER COUNT.
EG: THE FILE HAS (SAY) 5 RECORDS AS BELOW
A11VDPL 001
W11DSAL 123
A21MJDK 067
W21DFLI 111
ZTRAIL 002
NOW FOR ONLY (1,1,CH,EQ,C'A') THE TOTAL OF VALUE SHOULD HAPPEN OF (3,1,ZD) AND THAT SHOULD MATCH WITH (1,1,CH,EQ,C'Z') VALUE THAT'S 002.
OUTPUT CAN BE A FILE WHICH CAN HAVE 01 FOR MATCH AND 00 NON-MATCH.
USING SORT SUMTOTAL FIELDS AND TALLY TO FILE TRAILER COUNT
