Can you please let me know if we can connect to DB2 to unload data to a flat file using IKJEFT01 and connect to PKZIP utility to zip the mainframe file in the same JCL(mainframe job). Unload data from DB2 using IKJEFT01 pgm nd then in the next step, zip the files using PGM=PKZIP utility.
When I run the job, I am getting delay processing status and the job is not going into execution mode. If I run the unload step separately in a job and have the PKZIP step executed separately it is running fine.
