Post by prakash.subramaniam » Thu Oct 01, 2009 10:50 am

Hi all,
Got the new requirement. showing all unique agents that we have sent statements/checks to for a year time frame (9/15/08 to 9/15/09 cycles).

Could you please help me out this. How to get the Record count for the unique Agents in the mainframe. The requiement is very High priority.

Thanks in advance.

The requiement is very High priority.
Then perhaps you should have taken the time to give enough information so somebody could actually help you.

Show a good example of the records in your input file (relevant fields only) and what you expect for output. Explain the "rules" for getting from input to output. Give the starting position, length and format of each relevant field. Give the RECFM and LRECL of the input file.

is totally irrelevant and does not serve any purpose to us to provide any suggestion.

Suggest you show us some sample input, expected output, rules to get that output.

And using what you want to achieve that viz. COBOL, Sort (which product) or something else...
