I got a code in which I saw UNIT=CTPE... I just want ot know what is CTPE...? Can anyone help? I need to know urgently

UNIT=CTPE...

Tape Dataset may be sometimes repesented as Ctpe (particular type of I/O device)...

corrections are welcome....

You try to browse the particular CTPE dsn in 3.4. If it is tape then it will give a warning.

looks like a site specific Esoteric unit. Use RMF or one of the free MVS tools.

or just check the output from a job that you know allocates to it, answer will be there.
