Hi,

A table is added with new two columns(Defined as NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT) with the existing columns, and the corresponding host variables for those two columns in DCLGEN( As a copybook) also defined,

Now, Is it required to recompile the programs, which does uses the newly added DCLGEN copybook and doesnt uses the newly added host variables at all in the program??
If anyone knows pls reply to me...

Is this what you wanted to ask?

A table is added with two new columns (Defined as NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT) with the existing columns, and the corresponding host variables for those two columns in DCLGEN( As a copybook) are also defined. Is it required to recompile the programs that use the newly added DCLGEN copybook though the newly added host variables not at all used in the program?

Barat,

It is not required to recompile the program, if newly added fields are not being used in the program.

Thanks,
Krishna
