I want to delete the records from a PS file which do not satisfy certain conditions, using cobol program and then merge this file with remaining records with other two files giving a merged file. Can u please give me a sample program for this condition?

You haven't given enough information about your input files and records, the criteria for removing records, etc. And why did you post this in the DFSORT Forum when you say you want to use a COBOL program?

Girish,

Do u have any restriction that u should not use SORT or any utilities..
it can be done using one or two steps using utility rather than a program,
well if ur intrested in any utilites do mention the file details as FRANK
mentioned.
