what are all reasons for job not being submitted

HI

I tried to submit a job but it got abended saying that 'job not submitted'


please let me know the reasons behind this error .

Raji,

Normally it would be something to do with your Job card.

Check ur accounting information , Jobname...class i mean entire Job card...

Did u check the JESMSG....it should give you the reason ..with some jobcode

or something...

If you can share us more info then we can try to get the exact reason..

I had the simular situation 'job not submitted'. The problem was with % in commented out line. ????????????

//* %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

in the JCL. CONTROL-M couldn't handled it. Does anybody know why?

I replaced it with this and it works.
//* +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+

Hi,

%% is part of Control-M AutoEdit facility.

AutoEdit terms are prefixed by %%

At the time of job submission, AutoEdit terms are resolved to(replaced by) their actual values.


An "L" next to the job in Control-M (AJF) would have indicated symbol not resolved.
