Pls someone help me interpret the statement following:

INFILE DD DSN=SED.GLOB.DES.INFILE,
DISP=SHR
OUTIFLE DD DSN=SED.GLOB.DES.OUTFILE,
DISP=(NEW,CATLG,DELETE),

INFILE DD DSN=SED.GLOB.DES.INFILE, <--- Filename
DISP=SHR <--- This statement tells the system - Above file ( SED.GLOB.DES.INFILE ) is exists and use it in SHARED mode.

OUTIFLE DD DSN=SED.GLOB.DES.OUTFILE, <-- Filename
DISP=(NEW,CATLG,DELETE), <-- This statement tells the system - Create the file.
