Cobol II vs Cobol III

Post by jeroc » Tue Mar 11, 2008 2:41 pm

Hello,

I know that there is a Cobol III. What is the difference between Cobol II and Cobol III?
Is it another version of Enterprise Cobol from IBM? What are the main features for Cobol III?

Can you tell me where I can find some documentation?

Thank you in advance.

cobol 3 is the name given to IBM enterprise cobol.

here is a link for z/os vsn 6 http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/bookmgr_ ... r/zosv1r6/

you can find you cobol manuals there. each version of cobol in addition to programmers guide and the reference has a migration guide.
