Hi Can ne1 give me a program to do the followin...n briefly explain it please...
Scenario - 1:
Compare File 1 ,File 2 from Column 5 to 15 and write the Matched Records of File1 in File 3 and the remaining in File 4. Compare must be done in such a way that each and every record of File1 must be compared with all records of File 2. Refer to DFSORT manual in IBM Website for Syntax of the SORT Utilities.
Scenario ? 2 :
File -1 :
ABCD1111EFGH
TTTTT1111DDDD
File 1 is given as Input to the Sort step and 1111 must be replaced by XXXX and written to a new output file File-2

Ok, there is a solution but I did not get why did you mention this
in yourt post. This is for us or you wanted to say "I've referred DFSORT manual on IBM Website for Syntax of the SORT Utilities but could not get the desired results" . . .2. Refer to DFSORT manual in IBM Website for Syntax of the SORT Utilities.
