Command to find a member in a list of PDS

Post by banupriyab » Fri Apr 24, 2009 11:50 am

Hi,
Is there a command to find a PDS member among a list of PDS names displayed?
i.e:
- First I enter the DSlist option to display all PDS like "MFID0000.WORLDS.*"
- Say, some fifty PDS are listed now.
- now is there a command i can use on the command line to check which PDS has the member "MEMBER01".

My query is similar to the command FINDTEXT "STRING01" to find the members in a PDS that uses the string STRING01.

MEM is an IBM-supplied ISPF command. I'd suggest you bring this up with your sysprogs.

May be I sound cynical but the word "tried" is questionable - where and how did you try the command?
