RMM LISTVOLUME Output

Post by uweoswald » Thu Jun 18, 2009 3:52 pm

Hi,

I hope you can help me. I'm searching for an explanation for the following.

TSO RMM LV <tapevolser> STATS

Statistics:,
Number of data sets = 1 Data set recording= ON,
Volume usage(KB)= 1242033 Use count = 2,
Capacity(MB) = 800 Percent full = 0,
Date last read = 03/03/2009 Date last written = 03/03/2009
Drive last used = 4320 Write mount count = 11,
Volume sequence = 7 Media name = 3480,
Previous volume = TL8498 Next volume = TD9149,
Product number = Level = V R M,
Feature code =,
Error counts:,
Temporary read = 0 Temporary write = 0,
Permanent read = 0 Permanent write = 0,
,
***,

What I'm interested in is the "Volume usage(KB)= 1242033". Is this value for compressed or uncompressed data? Or in other words, if I backup 1GB of DASD data on tape is then this value 1GB (or the corresponding KB value) or a value with a compression rate (e.g. 60%)???

Thx

Gru?
Uwe
