i would like to know if there any emulators to run jcl commands

i found one emulator called TN3270 plus ,i dont know how to connect it

to a host,can i connect it to the localhost,how do i execute JCL commands there...

or is there any other chice i have where i can do such programming in my home PC

Hi,

You can buy the workbench software provided by different companies. It is nothing but a mainframe simulator using which you can run COBOL, JCL, CICS etc. Micro Focus or IBM sell it.

For connecting it from home you need an ip address to the mainframe server. At the same time, some company will not give access to connect it from home.

Contact some mainframe user id provider's then u will get the ip address and the required jcl's and proc's to compile and execute ur code
