1. start using meaningful titles.

2. there are examples and info provided in the tutorials section of this website.
this COBOL Tutorials, COBOL Tips , COBOL Manuals

3. this is a help forum, not a do-it-for-you-forum.
when you have specific problems, describe the problem completely and we will provide advice.

Actually, unlike some of the others, I thought this WAS a do-it-for-you forum. Did that change somewhere along the way?

MrSpock,

you are correct; often I just provide an solution.
I decided in this case, that the student should at least learn enough
to phrase a proper question/requirement.

I don't mind providing code (sometimes)
and if the question is about concepts, I point to the manual.

admittedly, I am prejudiced,
but I can not believe the 'PROF' did not provide any background info for this requirement.

I keep reading that it's the new paradigm in education. Plagiarism and Copyright laws don't exist anymore. Don't write a paper when you can download one for free that someone else already wrote. Don't pay an artist for their effort and work when you can download a digital copy of it for free. Don't do your homework yourself, but post it to the internet and have a million other people from around the globe do it for you. Have a test coming up? Download the answers and memorize them.

And they say that Entrepreneurism and Innovation are lacking. Gee, I wonder why?
