Please give me a solution for my below issue.
I have a file which contains 30 characters of data. I have another file which contains 5 characters of data. I want to replace the five characters from 20th position of the first file with the 5 characters in second file.
The output should be the first file input but the 5 characters must be replaced and remaining characters are as it is.

Your requirement is not clear. Do you have only one record in each file or multiple records in each file? Do you want to match the records one by one, or by a key, or what?
Please show an example of the records in each input file (relevant fields only) and what you expect for output. Explain the "rules" for getting from input to output. Give the starting position, length and format of each relevant field. Give the RECFM and LRECL of the input files. If file1 can have duplicates within it, show that in your example. If file2 can have duplicates within it, show that in your example.
Also, run this job and show the //SYSOUT messages you receive, so I can see what level you're at:
