Difference between physical and symbolic map

Post by Aashiq » Wed Apr 18, 2012 6:28 am

Hi,

Could you please tell me the difference between physical and symbolic map?

Since the Physical map is much concerned about the screen alignment and the symbolic map is concerned about the data value.
How does the values entered in the PICIN and PICOUT fields are handled in these maps with their application programs.

And also how does the variables, for instance EMPNO gets converted into EMPNOI,EMPNOO EMPNOA,EMPNOF AND EMPNOL in symbolic map.?

I request you to give your comments and kindly correct me if I am wrong in any of the above.
