SELCOPY program to a split file into 2, with equal number of records without hardcoding.

Read about SPLITBY in the sort documentation.

Why have you posted a statement regarding SELCOPY in the DFSort forum? DFSort is a sort product from IBM, SELCOPY is a report writer type thing from another company.
