I have input file based on condition I am getting two outputs. Please see below.
step01 exec pgm=sort
dd1 dd dsn=infile,disp=shr
sortof01 dd dsn=outfile1----> i am creating this output
sortof02 dd dsn=outfile2----> i am creating this output
sysin dd *
Now my question is i want to use outrec only for the first file that is outfile1, but it is working for both the outputs that is outfile1 & outfile2.
Please help me how to get the outrec ouput only for first file that is outfile1, I don't want outrec for outfile2.

Please note: OUTREC is a sort statement not a JCL statement. You should have posted in the sort part of the forum. That is what it is there for - posting question relating to your sort product. Also, as the syntax from one sort product to another is not necessarily th same you should also post which sort product you use. Look at the sysout NOT the PGM= in your JCL.
I have just checked some of your previous posts. Despite being told before that sort queries should be posted in the sort part of the forum you still post them in the JCL part. If you continue to ignore this simple fact then you may find your posts being deleted or ignored. If youi want help then help the helper by posting in the correct part of the forum. _________________ Regards
venky - keep in mind that very many of the people who learned with you have the mistaken understanding that anything submitted after a JOB statement is JCL.
This misunderstanding causes confusion as well as demonstrates this misundestanding. It also leads more experienced people to believe the poster has rather limited experience. . . _________________ Have a good one
