Should I learn COBOL or Fortran?

Post by chanika » Wed Feb 23, 2011 9:32 am

I've been told I need to learn some more modern, useful languages. Several people have told me that COBOL and Fortran are good ones to learn. Which would be more suitable for developing dynamic, GUI web applications: COBOL or Fortran?

What these people say you to learn, what exactly?

And why do you use those embedded links in your signature? What purpose do they serve for this board?

chanika,

first thing is you need to 'learn' how to learn.

what languages are employed to develop 'developing dynamic, GUI web applications'?

to become a 'dynamic web applications developer'
one needs to be a little more dynamic in their research.

it would take about 5 minutes with google to determine the answer to your question.

I am not going to answer your question because then you would want to know why.

Well, this thread is more than a year old, I'm not sure if the kind of answer you, umer001, revive it with, is of any help!
