Error accessing VSAM file in Merant Mainframe Express

Hello,
In Merant Mainframe Express (on windows), for a CICS program (COBOL), while accessing a VSAM file I get VSAM error (EIBRESP = 21 -> ILLOGIC, and EIBRESP2 is 110, though EIBRCODE is ok, i.e., spaces ( all HEX 40 ). The FCT entry for the dataset is proper. There is no mismatch regarding RECL, Key length and key starting position.

The same problem is also encountered when executing a batch COBOL program. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Please post the SYSOUT of the abended JOB, 'am not a CICS Guy so if possible please post the SYSOUT of batch process.

why don't your start by showing us the code the generated the error?

The exact same code works on the mainframe but doesn't on the Merant Mainframe Express.
