xpeditor has excellent online help/tutorials.
you should also avail yourself of the documentation,
that will be available at your site,
if your site has a valid license.
also, why post this question in the DFSORT forum and not the xpeditor forum?
I realize that it easier for you to post this question on several websites,
instead of just reading documentation.

Also - how do you "invoke" xpeditor for the interactive-testing differs from shop to shop. Usual process is - get your-program' listings in DDIO file, and start the interactive-testing. However, to be able to do that you need to "set-up" your xpeditor-profile first, for your RACF/TSO ID; and that's pretty site specific which can not be addressed by a Forum.
Suggest you get in touch with someone at your shop to set-up your xpeditor or go through the documentation (but documentation would tell how to use the product not how the product can be used for an individuals's need.).

Re: How to Debug a program in XPeditor?
This should not make a difference as long as your program is a batch-program.sivasaras wrote:My program has ims/db2 cobol program.
Usually what I've seen is -- shops have different DDIO-files for Batch-programs and on-line (CICS, not sure about IMS-DC though) programs and you need to get the listings in the correct DDIO-file to be able to debug your program.
