B055 INVALID LENGTH, TYPE OR DECIMAL PLACES

hi when i am working with easytrieve, i am getting an error "B055 INVALID LENGTH, TYPE OR DECIMAL PLACES"
this happens when i am using the macro in the easytrieve program and the line for which i am getting the error as follows
MASTER-AREA +
1 16630 A
can anyone helpme in resolving this issue? let me know if any more info needed..
