Position Responsibilities :

Responsible for supporting WERS applications under Mainframe Technology.

Responsible in providing Production/Business support to analyze day-to-day production issues and quickly responding to the problems to users and minimize the business impact.

Responsible for meeting KPI Targets in Production support of assigned applications & technical co-ordination with onsite

Responsible in Batch Monitoring process and working with Tech Ops/AD teams for any issues

Should work with other application teams for any interface issues

Effectively communicates with the customer on a day-to-day basis and resolves action items.

Perform root cause analysis and resolve application problems

Adhere to appropriate security and control processes

Ensure appropriate use of Ford IT processes, tools and methodologies

Engage Shared Services teams for support as appropriate

Provide a daily/weekly updates to the Lead

Position requirements:

Education Qualification: BE /B.Tech / MCA

No.of Yrs of Experience: At least 2+ years of progressive responsibilities within IT

Technical skills:

Mainframe - COBOL, JCL, IMS –DB/DC and DB2

Experience as a Software Engineer in Production Support environment.

2+ years relevant experience in handling production support activities

Working experience in Incident/Problem and Knowledge Management process areas.

Exposure to SLM (Service Level Management)

Experience in delivery of Mainframe - COBOL, JCL, IMS –DB/DC and DB2 projects

Experience in working with global distributed teams

Experience in providing IT support in an onshore/offshore model is preferred

Knowledge of Change and Release Management process areas

Exposure to Software Development methodologies, Quality Assurance and Security & Control procedures.

Should have excellent communication skills, flexibility to accommodate working across different time zones and sensitivity to cultural and geographical differences.

Position based in Chennai.
