what you use - unnecessarily - is not there for someone else.
a professional does not waste resources.
it is like the jerk who brushes his teeth and allows the water to continue to run.

regardless of how much of something there is, it is still a finite resource
and there is a cost associated with its usage.

bad attitude to be propagating to others.

Frank posted his solution as "best" as there was another "best" suggestion.

He later explained what was better over the other solution.

Anyone reading the thread should have been able to follow that.

There is no need to highlight the sub-best solution.

Yes, there can be many business needs for that. If you note Frank used SAMPLE which is for "sampling" data. If an actuary (or whoever) comes and tells you what sample of data they want, then that is it, however "non-sensical" it seems :-)
