How to retrieve data from DB2 table to a output file

I am beginner to Mainframe

Can any one one guide me on.. How to retrieve data from DB table to an output file.
I am not able to retrieve the data from table to an output file:(.
Can any one explain me with a sample code.

Why not? What happened when you tried?

How do others using your system retrieve data from db2? You will be better off using something that is already working on your system - rather than getting something that may not be available on hyour system.
